Cannon and Mariah Carey shut down Disney Land to celebrate their 5th wedding anniversary yesterday April 30th, with a fairy tale-themed vow renewal, and also to celebrate their twins 2nd birthday. This was made public via her Twitter page, where she posted photos.

 Lil Wayne, Grammy-winning rapper,  as reports claim he suffered another seizure and was rushed to a hospital this week. Despite the scare, Wayne only spent a few hours in a Los Angeles hospital where he received treatment. Sources close to Wayne said that the rapper was taken to Cedars-Sinai in L.A. late Tuesday night by his bodyguards, and that he suffered a single seizure and was treated and released early this morning.

“The thing is, man, the bad news is, I’m an epileptic, so I’m prone to seizures,” he said. “This isn’t my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh seizure. I’ve had a bunch of seizures; y’all just never hear about it. This time it got real bad because I had three of ‘em in a row, and on the third one, my heart rate went down to, like, 30 percent. Basically, I could’ve died soon. That’s why it was so serious. The reason being for the seizures is just plain stress, no rest and overworking myself. That’s typical me, though.”

Stanbic IBTC Sacks Over 250 Staffs, While Visafone 60

April 30th seems to be a date for workers of  Visafone and stanbic, which will never be forget in a hurry as over 60 of Visafone staffs and 250 of Stanbic were laid off nationwide, which takes effect from May 1st.
The Stanbic IBTC sack crossed across all levels, from management to lower level staff which is the first batch, because they are planning to do another round later this year.
But the sack only affected full staff employees as the bank intends to make its workforce 20% permanent staff and 80% contract staff. The total workforce before the sack yesterday was about 3000.

Kenny Ogungbe, Tony Okoroji, Exchange Words At Nigeria Entertainment Conference

Kenny Ogungbe, CEO Kenny's music, and Tony Okoroji, Chairman of Copyright Society of Nigeria COSON, was nearly marred by violent exchange of words, in Nigerian Entertainment Conference held over the weekend at the Grand ball room of the Eko Hotel and suites, Victoria Island.
Tony Okoroji had confronted Kenny Ogungbe in the presence of journalists for daring to say in public that COSON owed him, Kenny Ogungbe money.
“How could he say such a thing? And in public?”, Okorogie fumed.
Kenny Ogungbe and Okoriji shortly before the exchanges Kenny Ogungbe on his part remained resilient, insisting he would stand by his words. They exchanged hot, abusive words impossible to publish including the F*** word as they were pulled apart by concerned friends who feared the brawl may soon go physical.
Kenny Ogungbe went on to say “After now, if anything happens to me, it is on your head”.

Kenturah, International Actress, Steps Out Of Jim Iyke's Life

Keturah Hamilton, Jamaican born but America based model/actress, has been romancing Nollywood bad boy, Jim Iyke. Their relationship was so celebrated that the two openly confessed their love on the pages of magazine. Some of the fans of Jim even said that their relationship is something to envy.
Recently development, however, has stated otherwise as Keturah, the leggy queen of beauty has walked out on Jim Iyke over what she termed ‘bad boy behavior was just too overwhelming’.

Keturah, who he’s all over has finally called it quit with him.
In a statement signed by Jenny Garcia, MsMedia, Public Relations, “For the time being, Jim Iyke and Keturah Hamilton are no longer together because in reality, Jim’s bad boy behavior was just too overwhelming for the reality star. Keturah has decided to move on to the bigger and better things that her heart has long been looking to do. She quotes, "I wish Jim well on his show and hope that he matures into the man I always wanted him to be."
Keturah is currently in a new, reality-based show called "Diamonds in the Rough". We will see more of Keturah Hamilton on the big screen and on other future projects on the works because as they say, “It's not over until the fat lady sings!” she added.
A couple of days back, Jim was questioned on his relationship with Nadia Buari and he was quick to respond that, “I am not dating Nadia but Keturah for now,” as it is now, I think, Jim needs more than one proof to show the world that they are still very much together now that the lady has confessed that she was only acting out a script from his reality TV.

Ex Gov Akala, Snatched His SSG, Layiwola Olakojo's Wife

Chief Olakojo is regarded as one of the most experienced politicians in the State who enjoys a considerable followership in the state's political set-up and has participated in different governments both as the SSG to ex-Governor Ladoja and later Chief Bayo Alao-Akala.
During the high point of Governor Akala's administration, Chief Olakojo who was in his late 70's did the unusual and married a very young beautiful wife who was in her early 20s.
They had a big wedding ceremony which was attended by all the political bigwigs in the State then.
However, the robust relationship being enjoyed by Chief Olakojo and ex-Governor Akala ended when the Governor was being hounded by the EFCC and arrested his SSG, Chief Olakojo. It was revealed that the old man who couldn't endure the hard measure and feared what would become of his political life squealed on some activities of his boss, and that spelt long years of rift between the two politicians.
Recently the former SSG's marriage to his youngest wife was rocked with a big crisis that led to the wife moving all her things out of his house.

"One Thing I Regret Most Is The Fact That I Am Divorced" - Monalisa Chinda

 

Monalisa Chinda, nollywood actress, Port Harcourt, Rivers State-born, regrets her marriage to Dejo Richards, which  packed up few years ago due to some irreconcilable differences .
While she alleged that Dejo physically abused her in the marriage, those in the camp of her ex-husband denied that, alleging that she caused the seperation.

Dejo has since married another woman, Monalisa has remained unmarried, though she was recently romantically linked with Lagos socialite, Lanre Nzeribe. The relationship is being kept under the carpet with none of the two denying or confirming the romance tale.

Monalisa confessed her regrets having to raise the only product of her marriage which produced Tamar, a beautiful daughter.
According to her, “one thing I regret most is the fact that I am divorced. That's the only thing I regret, having to raise my child without the father,” she said.
She further added that, “it is a bit painful. But I have to live with it. It's better that way than to expose my little daughter to all sorts of domestic violence. It will definitely affect her upbringing. She will be dis-functional. God knows the best. Maybe, I should have been more careful.”

Saka's Sudden Switch To MTN From Etisalat

 

Many Nigerians were surprised last week to learn about the switch of popular comic actor, Hafiz Oyetoro better known as Saka, as an advert model of Etisalat mobile network to one of its biggest rivals, MTN.
Saka had been popular as a model with Etisalat, especially with the series of adverts he did for them. So, it was surprising for the people to see the actor-cum-lecturer pitching his tent with another network.
His comic delivery of the adverts campaigns for Etisalat had endeared him into the hearts of the people with his unique way of delivering his messages on television screen and radio. Saka, who happens to be one of the best comic actors in Nollywood, has won many awards in recent years.
A leading mobile service network, MTN engaged Saka through its agency, DDB to promote the new Mobile Number Portability (MNP) system recently launched by the NCC.
MTN employed the services of Saka to achieve its campaign of attracting customers, a move that has been described as a coup for Etisalat, which had been using Saka as its brand ambassador for about two years.
  According to reports, MTN parted with about N20 million to Saka, which this was far from what Saka was getting from Etisalat as brand ambassador for the network for two years.
Saka wasn't really a brand ambassador for Etisalat, he was only paid for any advert he did for them. Most of the time, he got a one-off pay for an advert campaign. He wasn't contracted as a brand ambassador for the network, unlike the deal he reportedly signed for MTN, which is worth N20 million.
