                       Rivers State Commissioner For Power, Kidnapped


  Nwokocha Augustine, honourable, Commissioner for Power, Rivers State, has been kidnapped alongside his Personal Assistant.
The Commissioner was kidnapped at the weekend in Ede, Onelga Local Government of Rivers State. He was pulled out of his land cruiser Jeep and was taken away along with his aide Samson.
The Commissioner’s jeep was abandoned on the spot, his family is yet to be contacted, but the case has been reported to the police.
Nwokocha has been the Rivers State Commissioner for Power since April 2008. He formerly represented ONELGA Constituency 1 in the Rivers State House of Assembly from 2003 to 2007 and was the Chairman of the House Committee on Public Petitions and Compliance during that period.
