UNIPORT Students Killed For Stealing
Three students from the University of Port Harcourt, Uniport, namely Ugonna, Aladdin and Chiadikobi met their unfortunate end on Friday, October 5th, were burnt alive by the Aluu community for stealing phones and laptops in an off campus hostel.
The Aluu Community, Instead of calling the police, took laws into their hands decided to put tyres over the head of the students and burnt them to death.
The identity of one of the three, whose full name is Chiadikobi Briringa, the first of four sons, his parents, Mr & Mrs Onyema Biringa,a top senior Manager at the NNPC Port Harcourt.
Chiadikobi is a native of Umuokoroma village in Obowo local government area, LGA, of Imo State, a
first year student.
The news
of his death was broken to his parents, who reside in Port
Harcourt. The
mob after beating them at Allu,an off campus suburb where they lived,
decided to parade them naked, while they were still pleading for their lives.
At
a point, a decision was taken by the mob to beat them to death,
thereafter, used tyres were pushed over their head to set them ablaze.
The
remains of Chiadikobi Biringa arrived Umungwa, Obowo last night and
will be buried less 24 hours after his murder today Saturday 6th October 2012.
