Crunchy Breakfast Cereals
Milo
launched a new product, Crunchy breakfast cereals, Wednesday, March 14, Nestle
Nigeria Head Office, Illupeju, Lagos.
Nestle
Nigeria, makers of Milo, leading nutrition, health and wellness Company, Nestle
is proud to introduce this new and innovative product into the Nigerian market.
Speaking
at the event, Gerben Kamps, business manager, cereal partners worldwide, said
that it is with great excitement to bring MILO Crunchy Breakfast to the Nigerian
consumer. He further said that it is a delicious product that brings entire
family good nutrition with the great MILO taste.

The reasons for launching MILO crunchy breakfast cereals in Nigeria, is because
we see globally, that wherever people live hectic lives there is a tendency to
skip breakfast because of time constraints. This product satisfies a consumer
demand to have a nutritious yet convenient ready-to-eat breakfast. It is
prepared in a matter of seconds. Breakfast is the most important meal, and the
breakfast cereal is growing at a fast pace,” he said.
Kamps
describes that In Nigeria there is a very sizable breakfast cereal category,
ranging from porridge, oats, custard, to cornflakes. The product is sold in
stores at #400. The product blends with the existing Nestle Nigeria product
portfolio and offers the Nigerian consumers with an even greater variety of
breakfast foods.
In
addition, it is packed with the goodness of vitamins and minerals and is made
of wholegrain. MILO crunchy breakfast cereal contains 8 essential vitamins,
vitamin B helps produce energy from carbohydrates, vitamin C supports the
body’s defense system, calcium, which helps kids to develop strong bones for a
healthy body, iron, which boosts vitality and performance.
Martin
Woolnough, Managing Director, and chief Executive, revealed that building on
the strong MILO brand which has enjoyed great patronage and success in Nigeria
since the sixties, the MILO crunchy cereals is a great addition to the Nestle
family.
MILO
crunchy breakfast cereal will be sold in a pack of 320 gram. This serves around
10 meals. The product will be sold in open markets and neighborhood stores for
#400 or #40 per serving which makes the product great value for money compared
to other breakfast cereal.
